I started my design career in the housewares industry at Casabella and Bradshaw Home before shifting into the clean beauty & hair space at Susteau and a toy designer at Clixo. Though I began in industrial design, my focus as a designer has expanded throughout my career. To date it includes launching physical products on the market, creating packaging for product lineups, running brand social media, building out pitch decks and branding for successfully funded startups, and leading a small design team.

As an industrial designer at Clixo toys I’ve developed new products, product lines, expansion packs, educational sets and packaging for retail and education. With a focus on extensive prototyping, testing, sketching, 3D modeling and 3D printing Clixo has a fast paced startup mentality that always keeps things moving. The small design team is very collaborative while still enabling each designer to own their own projects.

At Susteau, we delivered science-backed waterless formula products that are less wasteful and more sustainable, while not compromising performance. As the Head of Design, I developed the most eco-conscious primary and secondary packaging solutions feasible. Each bottle is made of at least 95% post-consumer, ocean-bound plastic. Not only is the material more sustainable, Susteau’s best-selling Hair Wash is delivered in a smaller bottle and lasts up to 4X as long as a traditional 8oz liquid shampoo.

As a housewares industrial designer at Casabella I was a part of a team of in-house designers creating new, redesigned and concept products. We conducted deep dive market research, sketched, prototyped and made countless models, before finalizing our design with 3D modeling, renders and sample production. We worked with factories directly to approve fit, finish and final production. I launched several products for major housewares retailers including Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Whole Foods, TJ Maxx/ Homegoods, Container Store, Amazon and more. My final project was creating an entire line of kitchen and home cleaning tools that had replaceable heads made from recycled plastic and sustainably sourced wood handles that’s on the market today.

Design interests when I am not behind a computer include sketching houses and building furniture, attempting to restore something old or broken and daydreaming about some new lighting or build project. I have also had the honor of being a judge for the International Housewares Association’s Student Design Competition for the past 5 years.

I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Design, Entrepreneurship, and Advertising.
